Stampin’ Up! FMS229, PPA293, SIP40 Get Well

March 27, 2016

Happy Easter!  I hope you are lucky enough to spend this special day with friends and family.

Before I get to today’s card I just want to take a minute to thank the design team at Create with Connie and Mary for choosing my card as one of their top three.  If you missed that card, you can see it here.  It’s always a thrill when others like your work.

Today I’m using three challenges for my card.  For the Stamp Ink Paper Tic-Tac-Toe challenge I chose the embossing, Gold and Get Well.  The colors are from Pals Paper Arts and the sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches.  I used the stamps from Flowering Fields which is still available for FREE with a $50 order before March 31.  I used the Clear Wink of Stella to color the flowers with ink refills…..very therapeutic. 🙂

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by today!

Stampin’ Up! GDP 024 Feel Better Soon

February 26, 2016

I’m always looking for a reason to do a shaker card and when I saw the case the designer challenge from the Global Design Project, I found the opportunity :-).  I cased the design of Michelle Last’s card, which is fantastic by the way.   I hadn’t used the Flower Shop Stamp in a while and thought it would make a cute shaker.  What do you think?

Thank you for stopping by today.

Stampin’ Up! Mojo Monday 435 Feel Better

February 21, 2016

Today’s card is for #Mojo Monday 435 sketch challenge.  I used the Elegant Dots TIEF for the Whisper White card stock background.  For the panels I used some of the Wild Flower Fields DSP and Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack over pieces of Blackberry Bliss card stock.  I used the Botanical Builder Framelits to create the leaves and flowers.  I used white card stock for the flowers and colored them with Sponge Daubers.  For those of you who check in regularly I’m sure it will be a big surprise that I used the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush on the leaves and the edge of the larger flower :-).   I really like how this one turned out and I hope you do too!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Stampin’ Up! Get Well

September 25, 2015

It’s Friday!  Good Stuff!  Today’s card is for the Can You Case It #87 and SUO #131 “Get Well Soon”.   I also used the sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches #204, but that deadline has passed.

I used the sponges again on the front panel mixing the colors from the challenge.  I stamped the cup on the panel and on a piece of Pacific Point cardstock.  After heat embossing, the image was fussy cut and added to the panel after the Bermuda Bay Sequins were added to the panel.

Thank you for stopping by today and have a great Weekend!!!!

Sneak Peak Get Well Card

Hi Everyone,

My brother was in the hospital so I made him a get well card.  I used the new Boho Chic Textured Impressions folder which will be available June 2.  I love the texture it brings to the card.  What do you think?  The tree is from “Look up to Father” (retired) but any image will work.  The sentiment is from “Delightful Dozen” also retired.  Use what you have and you will surprise yourself on how easily you can make it your own!

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Happy Stamping!

Kathie
