Stampin’ Up! PPA284 Happy Birthday

January 26, 2016

Today’s card is for the Pals Paper Arts 284 sketch challenge.  I used some of the Going Places DSP Stack and layered it over some black card stock.  I used the stamp from Kinda Eclectic and some So Saffron ink on So Saffron paper for the sun.  I heat embossed the plane and the sentiment with Black embossing powder.  I attached the vellum propeller with a silver brad.  I like how this one turned out, what do you think?

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Have a great one!!

Kathie, I found your blog this morning through the PPA challenge. Love your style of card making. It is very similar to my own. I am looking forward to following your designs. I had to stop what I was doing this morning and CASE your adorable airplane card. Nice job.

Like Debra, I found your page through PPA. This is a PERFECT card. I’ve just acquired the airplane stamp set and now wish I had bought the DSP to use with it. I love the way you used the clouds in the background. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hi Mary Lou, Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner. It’s been a while but I think I took a piece of designer paper 3″ x 5-1/4″ and added it to a piece of black 3-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. Then I trimmed it after turning it at an angle. The top edge is 1-1/2″. I hope this helps and thank you for asking!

I bought the Sky’s the Limit, but I LOVE the way you added the propeller to the airplane. What punch or die cut did you use. My stash doesn’t have anything close.
