Stampin’ Up! GDP16 Happy Birthday

January 1, 2016

Happy New Year!  Are you ready to start the new year off with resolutions or goals?  One of my goals is to continue creating cards that can be used for any occasion.  I have not purchased a card in over 3 years and it feels good to give a handmade card.  I’m hoping my creations inspire you to take some time to create your own.

Today’ card is for the Global Design Project #16.  Case the designer Bibi Cameron.  I chose to copy the circle center and make a shaker card.  I wanted some textured on the front piece that showcases the shaker so I punched some balloons and colored them with the Clear Wink of Stella brush.

Stamp: Celebrate Today Paper: Crushed Curry, White, Sahara Sand, Mint Macaron, Window Sheet Ink: Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo Accessories: 2″ Circle Punch, Balloon Framelits, Shaker Frames, Clear Wink of Stella Brush, Party Punch Pack, Baker’s Twine Combo Pack, Brights Sequins, Party Pop-Up Thinlits, Dimensionals

Here is the challenge that inspired my card:

Everyone loves to save money.  Would you like to save money and get your stamping supplies at a discount?  You can join Stampin’ Up! as a hobby demonstrator and get those items on your wish list at a discount.  You can quit anytime with no penalty.  I thought I would join just for a few months to get the items I wanted at a discount…..3 years later I’m loving it!  Why is January a great time to join?   If you join between January 5 and March 31, you can select $30 more of free product when you buy Stampin’ Up!’s Starter Kit.  In other words, you’ll be able to choose $155 of free product for just $99 (and free shipping).   Also Sale-a-Bration starts January 5 which means you get a free item from the Sale-a-Bration catalog with every $50 you spend (before S&H & Tax).  If you are looking for a career or would like to be a hobby demonstator, I’d be honored if you joined my team.  If you have questions, please feel free to email me at  Also let me know if you need a catalog.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Have a great one and a great year!!!

I love your fun take on Bibi’s original card. There are so many new and fabulous dies to choose from in the occasions catalogue, but the pop-up one is the best! The inside of your card looks as great as the outside. Thanks for playing at Global Design Project with us. Happy New Year!

What fun, Kathie! The glimmer paper balloons in the background of the top panel add a wonderful texture without taking away from the rest of the card – lovely choice. Thank you so much for playing along with this CASE the Designer Challenge at the Global Design Project.
