Stampin’ Up! FMS 221 Friends

January 31, 2016

Can you believe that January is over?¬† Time flies and I know Spring will be here before we know it….. I hope ūüôā

Today’s card is based on the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.¬† I have had this stamp for a while and even though it is now retired, I’m finally using it.¬† I have a few friends that would get a smile out of this sentiment.¬†¬† How about you??

I used white craft ink on some chalkboard paper for the sentiment and added it with dimensionals to the Watermelon Wonder backing the was cut with the Labels Collection.  I added some water to some multipurpose glue and used an aqua painter to spatter the liquid on the white panel and added some gold glitter.

Enjoy the last day of January and I know February will be a good one.  Thank you for stopping by today.

Stampin’ Up! Mojo Monday 432- Just For You

January 30, 2016

The Botanicals For You stamp was used for today’s card.¬† I heat embossed the sentiment on some of the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack and added it to some of the Botanical Gardens DSP.¬† I like how the vellum tones down the brightness of this piece of the designer paper.¬† The layout is based on the sketch challenge from Mojo Monday 432.

Thank you for all of your nice comments lately!  I really appreciate that you take some of your precious time to acknowledge my work.  Thank you!

Have a great weekend and thank you for stopping by today.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Valentine’s Day!

January 29, 2016

Three challenges for one card.¬† Okay I may have overdone it….but I do have good reasoning :-).¬†¬†I will let you be the judge.¬† First there is the Global Design Project.¬† The challenge is to case the Designer so I chose the stripes and hearts for this one.¬† Second is the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge from Stamp Ink Paper so I chose the heart, pink & bling.¬† Third is the sketch challenge from Can You Case It.¬† I hope you enjoy today’s card and thank you for stopping by today.

Stampin’ Up! You’re My Anchor

January 28, 2016

The sketch from The Paper Players PP279 and the theme from Just Us Girls was the inspiration for today’s card.¬† I stamped the Anchor and then quickly added some clear embossing powder and used the heat gun to set the image.¬† ¬†I used both the Gold and Clear Wink of Stella on the Anchor.¬† It is hard to see in the picture but in person it gives a nice glow.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Stampin’ Up! FMS 220 & HHS 229 Thank You!

January 25, 2016

Today’s card is based on the color challenge from HHS #229 and the sketch from FMS #220.¬† I used one of the stamps from Bordering Blooms and stamped it in Gray Archival ink on some Shimmery White paper.¬† I used the Clear Wink of Stella brush and re-inkers from Elegant Eggplant, Always Artichoke and Sahara Sand to color the flowers.¬† So easy, dip the Wink of Stella brush in the ink (I placed a drop of ink on a clear block) and start coloring :-).¬†¬† I also pieced a few of the flowers over the stamped image.¬† Rather than center the layers, I decided to do something a¬†little different.¬† It does give the card a different look, what do you think?

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by today!
