Stampin’ Up! HSS #223& SIP #20 Happy Birthday

October 31, 2015

HAPPY HALLOWEEN !  I could have made a Halloween card for today but when I saw the sketch for Hand Stamped Sentiments and the color challenge for Stamp Ink Paper #20, I went a different direction.

Since Blushing Bride was one of the colors, I leaned towards a card for a girl.  Then I saw the ballerina in the Sparkly Seasons Stamps and the rest is history. 🙂

Thank you for stopping by today and have a very Happy Halloween!

Stampin’ Up! GDP008 Happy Birthday!

October 30, 2015

Happy Friday! Do you have plans for Halloween? We have a football game and then get ready for the Trick-or-Treaters.  We average around 150 so we will see how many we get this year.  It’s fun to see all of the different costumes.  I think this is my husband, John’s favorite holiday 🙂

Today’s card is for the Global Design Project 8 sketch.  We have so many November birthdays coming up and most of them are men……so a Masculine card today.

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by today!

Stampin’ Up! Wonderland PP268

October 29, 2015

Today’s card is for the Paper Players #268 sketch challenge.  I ran some silver foil through the big shot with the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder and added that to some black card stock.  Those pieces were then added to the smoky slate base.  I stamped the trees from Wonderland in Smoky Slate on white card stock and then used my “favorite” Fine-Tip Glue Pen so I could add silver glitter to the trees.  It is hard to see in the picture but the glitter is there 🙂  I used the Sleigh Ride Thinlets on vellum to create the winter scene.  Again used the Fine-Tip Glue pen to add Dazzling Diamonds glitter for the snow.  I used silver embossing powder to add the sentiment to a piece of white card stock.  Hope you like it and let me know if you have questions!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Stampin’ Up! Bloom for You Thank You

October 28, 2015

The challenge from Just Us Girls got me thinking of some items I have and hadn’t used in a long time…. and with the color challenge from Create with Connie & Mary, this is what I came up with.

IMG_2165

I adhered a piece of Transfer Adhesive Sheet to a piece of Soft Suede and ran it through the Big Shot with the Hexagon Hive die.  Then I peeled the backing and added it to the vanilla card stock.  For the flowers I stamped the Bloom for You in Hello Hone on white card stock and stamped it again on Hello Honey for the center. I punched the flower out with the Fun Flower Punch and I punched the center out with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch.  For the leaves I used the leaf framelit from Secret Garden with Mossy Meadow card stock.  The sentiment is from the Six Sided Sampler.  I stamped the design with Hello Honey (stamped off) and the sentiment in Soft Suede.

Hope you enjoy my card and thank you for stopping by today!

Stampin’ Up! Another Thanksgiving

October 27, 2015

Today I combined three challenges for my card.  The sketch is from Pals Paper Arts, the colors are from Paper Craft Crew and the theme is from TGIF Thankful Challenge.  I started with some shimmery white card stock and sponged the colors randomly.  I adhered that to some Wild Wasabi and then to the base of Cajun Craze.  I ran some Cajun Craze through the Big Shot with the Boho Chic embossing folder.  For the Daffodil Delight I punched a circle and cut it in half and adhered it to the sentiment.  I stamped the leaves with Basic Black Archival ink and colored the leaves with markers and used my Fine-Tip Glue to add some gold glitter to the leaves.

Have a great Tuesday and thank you for stopping by today.

When I saw the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge from Stamp Ink Paper I couldn’t decide which way to go so I just created two cards….. what can I say?   On both cards I used some shimmery white card stock for the background and sponged several colors for the nighttime effect.
