Stampin’ Up! Bloom for You Happy Birthday

August 31, 2015

So another weekend has gone by way too fast.¬† Happy Monday anyway ūüôā¬† Today’s card is for the Sketch and Stamp challenge SB119.¬† I used the elegant dots embossing folder and some of the Timeless Elegance Designer Paper that matches the design of the embossing fold.¬† I used clear embossing powder on Watermelon Wonder using the Bloom For You stamp.¬† Then I used the dauber and Watermelon Wonder ink to color the flower.¬† I also used the clear embossing powder on the piece of So Saffron for the center of the flower.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Anniversary & Mojo Monday 412

August 29, 2015

Today’s card is based on the sketch from Mojo Monday #412.¬† Remember how I said I was determined to find different ways to use the Spider Web Doily in my cards?¬† Well I did it again ūüôā¬† I colored the back of the doily with a dauber and Encore Silver ink.¬† Then I added some 2-way glue and sprinkled silver glitter over the top.¬† Fun!¬† I used the Bold Butterfly Dies to cut out the Vellum butterfly.¬† I ran some 2-way glue around the edges and added Dazzling Diamonds glitter.¬† I heat embossed the sentiment with Silver embossing powder.¬† The fluttering Embossing Folder was used for the white background.

If you have any questions or comments, I would love to hear from you.  Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Stampin’ Up! Sheltering Tree & PP259

August 28, 2015

Is it just me or are the weeks flying by?¬† Today’s card is based on the sketch from The Paper Players challenge #259.¬† After I colored the tree, I added dots of glue with the new fine point glue (available 9/1) and added gold glitter.¬† For the leaves, I stamped in one color and then used sponge daubers to add more color.¬† After I cut the leaves out with the matching framelits, I used the daubers to sponge around the edges.¬† You can’t see it, but I used my scoring tool on the leaves to highlight the veins.¬† Up close you can see the textures it added.¬† For the sentiment I used clear embossing powder and the Soft Suede ink.

If you have any questions, I’d love to hear from you.¬† Have a great day and thank you for stopping by today!

Stampin’ Up! Dropping In

August 27, 2015

Today’s card is based on the sketch from Sweet Sunday 233 and Just Us Girls Inspiration Week #307.¬† I used clear embossing powder for the sentiment and for the leaves. If you add the embossing¬†powder quickly after you¬†stamp your image,¬†the heat embossing works perfectly. ¬†I like the texture that it adds.¬† The Woodgrain Embossing Folder was used for the colored panels.¬† I had a little left over burlap threads and tied it around the sentiment to fill in the empty space.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great Thursday!

Stampin’ Up! Remarkable You CCMC#369

August 26, 2015

Happy Wednesday!¬† Today’s card is for Create with Connie & Mary’s sketch and SUO challenge to create a card without words.¬† I stamped the flower with Stazon Ink on a piece of window sheet.¬† I mixed some Crystal Effects with Pear Pizzazz Ink Refill to color the stem and with So Saffron Ink Refill for the flower.¬† Then I sprinkled dazzling diamonds glitter over the flower and let it dry.¬† It’s an easy technique that gives a lot of pop.¬† If you have any questions, I’d love to hear from you!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
